I would not call it a garage find as I grew up with the car in my garage. The car was my father's first when he got his license in 1966. He parked in in the garage in 1973 as it needed a good deal of engine work, he claimed it would take about 1 quart of oil to go around the corner. And there it sat all of my life, he always wanted to fix it up but never had the time or the cash. My father passed away almost eleven years ago. About 3 years ago my brother and I decided we were going to bring it back. After towing it to my house, ripping out the motor and transmission and getting them rebuilt with some help of a local antique mechanic it was fired over yesterday on my birthday. It starts, stops, and shifts. so far we have cleaned/fixed/rebuilt the transmission, motor, carb, manifolds, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brakes, starter, generator, fuel pump, distrib and cleaned the radiator and gas tank. It needs the wiring to the accessories and lights and new tires, glass, and the body done. Hoping to have it on the road soon for this summer. Still have a long way to go to get it where we want it but it will stay mostly original and be a good driver. It has a rumble seat and dual side mounts, from what I gathered its a Special Coupe Series 46. If anyone has any recommendations or suggestions I am all ears.
