I am looking for a supplier for brass hood hinge for a hood I will be making. I am looking for something with a pin diameter ~5/16-3/8 and a knuckle length 2-3" and a total tength ~30" Typical piano hinge is too small pin diameter and too short knuckle length and just wouldn't look appropriate. I have seen some excellent reproduction hoods with the correct type of hinge so someone can still do it. Does anyone know of a source?
It seems that there are a fair number in various states of repair. I did discuss it with Walt and it seems that there are no known internal compustion survivors. I would be interested to hear if there are any steamers (complete or otherwise) that will be coming up for sale, or if anyone has seen anything surviving from the various IC models.
While the GAR is a rare car, I would agree that 75 is unreasonable for a poorly stored old restoration. 30hp is fine, I would consider a Q4 or Q chassis, 22hp would be adequate for a small roadster.
Does anyone know of a 4 cyl. Maxwell roadster that is, or may be coming up for sale like one of these posted at The Old Motor? These models just have the right look.
Looking for a medium size brass roadster. Prefer original car, older restoration or project. Looking for something with potential to be a good tour car. Message me if you would like addidional details of what I am looking for, leads appreciated. Thank you.
