  1. After some thought. I would like $150.00 plus shipping if you take both. $100.00 plus shipping for just the unused accumulator and $50.00 plus shipping for just the older unit. See original post for what I know about condition and age of both. Questions and/or comments are welcome as I'm unsure if the true value. Thanks,Scott
  2. Thanks to great instructions from Hemi. I made the switch to a standard brake system. This has left me with some items other may want or need. First before o found out the pump was bad on the system I ordered a new stock accumulator. This was last year. It was never put on and has sat on my work bench. Also have the old brake system. Think the pump went. Not sure was just over the battle. Hard pedal. Not sure what of it has use but surely don't need it. That accumulator was new 4 years ago. Shout out if your are interested. Have not thought much about value. But am open to offers. Scott
  3. Update...I finally got the TC up and running just in time to put in storage for the year. As much as I hated changing the original brake system....it is done. Thank you so much Hemi for your directions. Took some convincing of my mechanic to take on the job, but all is great, stops good, and under the hood looks clean. If you didnt know, would think it was original equipment. Its such a relief to not worry about those brakes anymore. I know its sacrilegious to change out, but happy to keep her on the road cruising. Question, I have the whole original system from the swap. Pump is most likely bad, but wondering if other parts are useful for rebuilds? Also early this year bought a new accumulator that I never put on and the accumulator that is on the system is only about 4 years old with about 7000 miles. Cant wait till spring to get her out and rolling again! :-) -Scott
  4. HI Group, Looking for assistance from the TC veterans. Last week took car out of garage and got the dreaded hard brake pedal, brake light. Looked in the garage and all my brake fluid drained out on the floor. Towed it in to the mechanic and at first thought we were just dealing with a rotted hose that goes from pump to reservoir. After replacing that hose and refilling with fluid, found that we are getting no pump activation. Mechanic said he is getting power to it (relay got hot) but no pump. Wondering your thoughts, how screwed am I, can this pump be replaced. My mechanic has work on my TC before but the brakes always make him nervous. The rest of my car is in A1 shape and hate the thought of this being the end. Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scott
  5. Hi All, Great time at the show! Was so awesome to meet both Jim and Bob. First TC club members I've met in the flesh..... both class acts, as you would expect from TC owners. ? As Jim said above, soooo many beautiful cars, but so little time to see them all. Camera was having issues first day so I lost my pic of our cars sitting together (Jim), you didn't happen to take any that day? How cool we happened in at the same time and got to park together. Appreciated the knowledge you both shared, seeing all the extra bits you had (Bob), was super cool. Sorry I missed you both before you left, my son and I were running around like kids in a candy store. Overall I think we represented our cars well, white hardtop 3.0, red top down 16v, white soft top up 3.0. And the cabernet turbo rounded it off.......Soooo all we need is 10 cars and we can club park next year ?. Headed back to Michigan, switch son for wife and went on to the Old US 27 Motor Tour. 4 days of cruising from south end of Michigan to the north tip. All and all 1408 miles and she ran like a dream. Till next time, blessings to all - Scott
  6. Bob and Jim I plan on being there both days. Never been before, to both Moparfest and Canada. Will be the longest trip I've taken in the TC. Has me pretty anxious and excited at the same time. Looks like there is a ton to see. If we're not by the car, my son and I can be identified by our new TC t-shirts. Hope to see you. Hemi I know your TC runs great. You should plan a trip some year. Its like a mini route 66 tour. Helps to fund some road work and the business in the town we stop at. And is certainly not as hot. Although us northern Michiganders complain if it gets over 77 degrees in August. ?
  7. I like both answers, so to Canada hardtop, like the look for displaying. When I return to Michigan going to run in the Old 27 Motor Tour the length of Michigan, DeWitt to Cheboygan leg, 3 days, 12 towns, 250 miles..... a good time for the top down. Send me good mechanical karma. I'll post some pics when I get home. http://old27tour.com/itinerary.php
  8. Well barring unseen circumstances, I will be traveling to New Hamburg, ON. on Friday for the Moparfest. Has anyone ever gone, or better yet anyone going this year? Two days, around 1600 cars, and best of all... all Mopars. Had my TC detailed and she looks better then ever. Debate in the house is, hardtop or soft?
  9. Thanks, awesome advice as always Hemi. I suspect that the key is the fitting that goes between the accumulator ant the system. I see some for sale on line and would like to get one. Layman question....what is the thread size for the male and female ends of that fitting?
  10. Is the pressure gauge a standard tool? Where do I get one? Once hooked up, what am I looking for, pressure, procedure. Thanks as always for your help Hemi!
  11. On the topic of accumulators....I just replace mine today. I was only getting 5 brake pedal pumps before pump would run. I got the new one and put on today and still only get 5 brake petal pumps before the motor starts. Am I misunderstanding the testing process, if not were should I look next for the issue. I have no problem braking as far as I can tell. Lights seem to be normal except ABS is always on do to removing fuse. I was told that I have a bad wheel sensor and since I don't drive in winter or rain if it can be helped, I didn't feel the need to use the ABS. Thoughts?
  12. I live in Northern Michigan but am open to driving south. This year for me anyway is a rap but we should organize something for next year. I heard about the Museum trip....sounded cool. I had just got my TC and was still working out the bugs in it......literally, lol. Next year is the 10 year anniversary for the Old 27 Motor Tour. Even if all did not want to commit to the whole trip we could pick one day of the cruise to get together. The day that stands out this year was the day from DeWitt to Clare. Stopped in 5 cities ending in Clare. Their expecting well over 500 cars next year by Clare. Lots to see, towns treat us good, fun to drive in the line and wave at all the people on the street. Just a thought.
  13. Lucky for me, my mechanic still has guilt about the front axle issue we had last year and even though he spent most of all day getting it out he charged me only 100.00. Pretty pricey to change a thermostat but cant complain. Second question, while I was breaking easy out bits in the snapped bolt head i noticed two metal lines directly above that looked as if they should be connected by a small rubber hose. When I got car back the lines were connected with said rubber hose. The motor was quieter and when removed one end there was a sucking sound that had been present all the years I have owned it. The mechanic never mentioned adding the hose. My guess he thought he removed it and just replaced. My question, what was that and how was it that I drove it for 4 years like that?
  14. Ok well the over all report is that I like them. Seems to be responsive, ride is very nice. I will note that I am by no means any kind of tire aficionado, I don't race around, I just want them to ride smooth. So you kind of lost me with the hellcat, viper, 600 horsepower stuff. I did notice that they made a different pitched hum on the road, but was not objectionable. Hope this helps.
  15. I represented our great little car at the Old 27 Motor Tour last week. I started in Dewitt MI. the evening of the 19th. Ended in Cheboygan MI. on the evening of the 22td. Covered 304 miles and stopped in 12 cities. I was a great time. When we rolled into Clare (midpoint) we were 462 cars strong. Most cities had some kind of entertainment and the overnight stops took it up a few notches. All towns gave the cruisers deals and midweek motels were affordable. Saw so many great cars from all eras. Always fascinated by the response the TC gets, good and bad. Next year is the 10 year anniversary and I am already planning. Here’s a couple pics from the trip.
  16. Alfieri, I put the P4's on Saturday. Took a quick ride in town to get new thermostat, and than snapped a bolt and car has been at the mechanics since. Short ride but will agree with Bill, the ride seemed smoother. I have always chased a slight shake.....this seemed to fix that. Could have been the two slightly bent rims I had straitened also. Either way so far I am pleased. Will get it back tomorrow and will be leaving to join the Old 27 cruise in Michigan. Will put around 550 miles on in 3 1/2 days on all kinds of roads. I will report back next week. I mostly bought the P4's due to rebates offered through Ford and Pirelli. Got all four balanced and installed for under 375.00.
  17. Ok so I pulled a dumb move yesterday. I attempted to change the thermostat and snapped the back bolt off. After attempting to extract the bolt end with no luck towed the car to the mechanic. I hope they have more luck than I did getting it out. If not, is the water box a difficult part to replace? I have the 3.0 motor Just trying to get prepared for the phone call tomorrow. Of course I would do this just days before the cross state cruise I am scheduled to be in. -Frustrated in Gaylord
  18. I should have used the term machined instead of polished. It looks like really small ribs in the finish. This causes them to shine and almost sparkle with an iridescent rainbow effect in the direct sun. I have to add that were the lead weights were on the outside could not be 100% removed so there is a slight blemish on 3 of the 4. But you have to really look. As far as what they looked like before. They really were not bad. I had stripped, wet sanded surface, taped/cut out/painted insets, and them cleared. They were nice and shinny but had more of a silver grayish look. I really noticed when I got the new in package center caps and they were much closer to a chrome look. Over all I am very pleased. Always struggle spending money on these types of things. I have spent way more on this car than I could ever get out of it....but oh well, I like it, and still the only way some one of my means could drive around in a Maserati! Since the car will never see snow, or even rain if I can at all help it. I should only have to keep them polished from now on. I will post a pic of them on the car outside tomorrow.
  19. Thanks, you all have given me ideas. I have no skill at all in the 3D print arena. But more power to the group. I have no doubt if any could, this group could put it together.
  20. I wish I could say I was so handy. I had them done by a company in Canada (WHEEL COVERS UNLIMITED). They took all the finish off, repainted inset color and then polished and cleared. Two of the rims were slightly bent and they fixed that too. The original owner had the wheel weights on the outside so if you look close you can see some blemishing in those areas, but not bad. It was $650.00 for all four. Kind of a lot but in line with what I was looking at spending for new rims. Being kind of a purest I just couldn't change style.
  21. Am looking for the small plastic black caps for both ends (as pictured) and for both doors. Can anyone help with these. Was not sure how describe so here are pictures. , Thanks in advance for any help, -Scott
  22. Before refinishing After Hard to show in pictures how good they look.
