Hey Trying to decide what color the engine in my 52 special should be someone painted it gray and the valve cover black. someone told me blue? is that the hole engine or just the block? Thanks Oscar

Got this car out of a feild with a very friendly donkey. took almost six hours to get it out of the mud. The owner of the feild said it had set there for five years. His brother parked it there and it ran fine. the oil was very clean. I thought it would be all slugged up then I pulled the valve cover and suprise. what oil should we use to keep it this clean? sorry mine would be the special 40 with the 6 in wide rims. and the clips on for the hubcaps. i do not need the hubcaps. rims only thanks Oscar

looking for some nice rims to fit 52 they are 15 in. they have the locator pin on the drums. really only need two. Im located in PA 16323 any help would be appricated Thanks Oscar

Hello I just had a call from a person with a 1940 buick coupe 2dr no back seat. Straight 8 3sp said the car ran when he bought it 4or5 yrs ago. He was going to hotrod it. he removed the wiring and started to take car apart. the only thing he threw away was the seat. says every thing is there. he bought some floor panels for it. The car is about 6hrs oneway.in the out pictures the body looks solid.The lowest he would go price wise was $1,600. . So I'd have about $2,000 in everything. So is it worth the chance and a 12 + hr round trip or should i walk away. He has not removed the engine or trans or the doors. just looking for a little feed back. Thanks Oscar

Gil If you want to build a street rod sell the 31 and go buy a project that needs finished. I have built street rods and they cost about the same or more than to restore. when your done building your hot rod you have a small block chevy with an automatic trans just like all the other hot rods. I enjoy my original cars much more than any street rods i ever built. It seems when you built a hot rod that people look for the flaws. the original people just like to look at and talk about. HI Yes I am looking for the window frame. Mostly the peice that is on the bottom down in side the door that the rollers move in to make the window go up and down. If any one out there has one to sell please let me know. Thanks Oscar

What i realy need is the track or the part that the glass sits in and goes up and down it's chrome. The glass is just attached to it and then trere are two screws hold the chrome around the top of the glass. thanks oscar
