  1. Wow, sounds like you have a treasure chest of information! But, I definately would NOT be needing anything as far back as the beginning Only the cars with X-Frames which usually started circa 1932-1933. Not sure with Studebaker so my interest would be the 1930s up to and including 1946. mainly frame diagrams with dimensions only. That should narrow things down huh... We can assume that Studebaker, even for convertible models between 1947-1952, did not use the X-beam reinforcement for their frames until 1959-1964 Lark and 1963-64 Avanti? Those I have. Thanks!!! Eric
  2. Looks good to me! thanks!... No dimensions charts in the book though, odd? Anyone have earlier manuals than 1941 Studebaker?
  3. Great, thanks. Big scans if you will, I made a small one for the 1946 just to show as an example rather than reference. Eric
  4. I am seeking the frame diagrams with dimensions for the 1957 and 1958-1960 Olds. The shop manuals seem to be void of them so does anyone have them in the Motor's Crash Books or a late edition of Motor's Body & Frame book? Would like a good scan if someone would be kind enough to provide them? I have books showing part numbers and some crash sheets and frame diagrams for models 1946-1955 is someone needs a scan in return? Many Thanks Eric
  5. From what I can tell, that doesn't affect the frame itself. Maybe different motor mounts not part of the physical frame but the frame seems to be identical for 1966, 1967, and 1969 so I am assuming 1966-1970 are all the same with same dimensions? Can someone confirm and provide scans for me? Thanks! I know the 1963-1965 is different and if someone can also provide a scan of this frame too I would greatly appreciate it. From Shop Manual (Frame or Body Mount section) or Motor's Crash Book sheets.
  6. Someone was gracious enough to provide me with a nice quality scan of the 1957 Chevy Convertible frame with dimensions from a Motor's Crash Book. But wonder if anyone can provide me with one showing the 1955-56 convertible frame which is slightly different? Much Appreciated! Eric
  7. Does anyone have a good quality scan available of the Frame diagram with dimensions showing the 1966-1970 Rivirea? Believe all are identical for all of those years? I found one online in a scanned shop manual but a page bled through so the frame page is messed up and hard to read. Maybe better from a Motor's Crash Book? Thanks! Eric
  8. Are there frame dimension charts for these cars like in Motor's Crash Books? Can someone send to me or post here? Thanks! Eric
  9. Are there any frame charts with dimensions published for these cars like in Motor's Crash Books for the later 1930s-1940s cars? Can someone send to me or post here? Thanks! Eric
  10. Are there any frame charts that also show dimensions like with more modern cars - such as in Motor's Crash Books? Can someone send to me or post? Thanks! Eric
  11. Stude8, Like you, I wasn't able to find any X-Frame designs after 1946 - even convertibles. But apparently they did have X-Frames up to 1946 but depending on which version of book you look at, it may or may not show it. Older books seem to have it and someone sent me the chart from Motor's Body and Frame book published in 1950 (First Edition) but not in later issues? Attached is a small version someone sent me for the 1946 Champion. If you have it and other older models, please post. I am still also looking for the Chrysler Convertible frame as well missing from later books but need for the 1946-1950 model. Thanks! Eric
  12. Does anyone have a copy of the Motor's Body & Frame Manual or Motor's Crash Book - or even a Studebaker Shop manual, that shows the X-Frame for the 1946 Studebaker Champion? (or years that have same frame)? I am in need of a good quality scan of it, greatly appreciated! Eric
  13. Does anyone have the shop manuals for the 1958-1959 and 1960 Edsels? I am seeking a good quality scan of the frame with dimensions from that section of the book... sometimes listed under the frame section and sometimes under the body mounts section. I am assuming the 58-59 frame is different than the 1960, as with the standard Ford models changed? I need scan for both styles of the "convertible" frame with X brace but if standard and convertible are on same page, that is fine as long as scan is high quality. Much appreciated! Eric
  14. Does anyone have a copy of the Motor's Body & Frame Manual or Motor's Crash Book that covers the late 1940s DeSoto / Chrysler? I am seeking a scan of the "convertible" frame chart that shows dimensions for these years and believe DeSoto and Chrysler were the same frames. Can post good quality scan here or send to me direct... much appreciated! Eric
  15. Does anyone have a copy of the Motor's Body & Frame manual or an early Motor's Crash Book that shows the late 1940s Chrysler convertible frame with dimensions? If so, can I get a scan of it either posted here or sent to me direct? Much appreciated! Eric
  16. Does anyone have a shop manual that shows the 1963-1964 Cadillac frame with dimensions? Be it from a Motor's Crash Book, Tru-Way, or actual manual for the car? I am in need of a good scan for the 1964 Cadillac frame, thanks!
  17. First off, the 1959 and 1960 Buick did not use an X-frame configuration but a K under the front section only. It picked back up using an X in 1961-1964. With this in mind, when they did not use an X on a perimeter frame they usually add a steel flange on to of the side rails for strength. The 59 and 60 are the only Buicks (or G.M. car) with this particular frame so you will be restricted with those two years and make only for replacement. Eric
