Looks like this might have been slightly hot rodded, especially with the tuck and roll. Would be interesting to see what any of the other changes are.

Wow, get this one to Clayton Paddison, stat!
-
Might be quite a deal!
I like the color difference between roof and body.

Probably too rich for my blood but this is a bucket list car for me. Can't explain why but it speaks to me on some weird level.
-
This will probably go to someone in the lowrider/bomb scene!

I have a '41 Special in about the same driver-level shape as this, and I know they are about the same in many regards, but I would trade mine for this.
I've said it before but I am a sucker for a '40s GM fastback.

My goodness.

Simple and neat. What more do ya need?

I am nearby. If anyone is interested, I am more than happy to go look at it in person.

Running boards are the correct ones for trucks...

It's a Roadmaster. 1948 was the first year for the Dynaflow and it was only available as an option on the Series 70 Roadmasters. Since this car has an automatic transmission, I believe that's a Dynaflow script on the front fender, if it were a stick car the script would say Roadmaster. The car has a Roadmaster Dynaflow horn button and that would be correct for the car. Since this car is still for sale after 19 weeks, maybe some buyers don't care for those shiny mismatched paint touch-ups and painted over rear fender welt that needs to be replaced, along with the worn front floor mat and crusty engine compartment. It's a case where the car might look better in the small pictures on a computer than it actually does in real life.
I bet it has a leaking manifold too. Mine did.

Respectfully, how can you tell it's a Roadmaster?
Although the Facebook ad says "Roadmaster," it is not uncommon for Sellers to state an incorrect brand or model name in their ads. The script on the front fender appears to say "Super." Thoughts?
I think the script says Dynaflow. But the Dyna in '48 was only a Roadmaster option, and you can tell here by the missing clutch pedal, the shift selector knob being pointy rather than round (manual trans). The steering wheel center says Roadmaster, and I think the trunk emblem says Dynaflow as well.

So many GM fastbacks, so little time (money)!

Wow, Roadmaster with a Dynaflow!
I always wondered with these Buicks that have a visor...after they install it, what happens to the center post radio antenna? If the visor has the center support bracket, that would prevent the antenna from rotating up or down, correct?

I had a 450 that was great fun, but I bet this engine/trans combo would be far more zippy. The grey market look was so elegant.
-
Is this a flip?

To Deac's point above, these '40s GM fastbacks are really popular with the bomb/lowrider subsect. The bomb aficionados usually keep theirs pretty stock and then bolt on lots of era-relevant accessories (not for everyone but at least they can be removed with ease).
Great color inside and out; I don't think this one will be for sale long!

You are correct. I am the new owner of Country Classic Cars and acquired it in August of 2022. Previously the prices were great, but the quality and customer service was terrible in my opinion. We have been getting rid of much of the old inventory and upgrading inventory quality throughout the last year and a half. We have almost a completely new staff and management. Prices have gone up as they have with everything in this economy, but that is primarily due to the type of cars we are buying now and also the cost of acquisition and shipping has gone up tremendously. Country Classic Cars did not have the best of reputations in the past and we have been changing almost everything to provide better cars and customer service going forward under our ownership.
Congratulations!

I don't know if it's priced too high or what's correct/incorrect but this one really speaks to me. The only nitpicky thing for me is the radio delete (I am one of those folks who plays era-appropriate music in my old cars)...

To be fair, other for-sale forums (a traditional hot-rod one in particular) often have ads for far less car for far more money...

The punk band The Didjits did a song about a car like this. "Big Bad Gold Eldorado"

Dynamite color combo. I like this one a lot.

Wow, I clearly haven't been paying attention but this is the first time I noticed that the Eldorado this year had fins! I thought they first showed up in '57.
