  1. TC wont start, not sure what to try next. i cleaned rust out of gas tank, replaced fuel pump and filter, flushed fuel line and return line. i cleaned out distributor cap, rotor and spark plugs. i sprayed starting fluid in the intake to wake her up, but that isnt working. im wondering if the fuel injectors are gummed up. ive never worked on thse before but i may be able to remove them and clean them. what is recommended to try next?
  2. hi, thanks for input and support. i met with the girl at FWD the other day, gave me motivation. my TC has 82000 miles, its black inside and out, V-6, automatic. ill put a couple of pics up later when i have more time.
  3. still have my TC, been busy with life and working, no time to mess with it. dont think anyone remembers me, ive had it about a year. mine was in storage for 6 years so i started with getting the rust out of the gas tank. and thats about all i have had time to do. it is parked elsewhere so its hard to get over to it. im looking into some used tires, the ones on it are dry rotted and leak after a day or so. next im going to flush fuel lines with solvent and compressed air. put oil in it and see what happens. if it runs, i need to flush brake lines. with my time and budget, it will go up for sale if it has serious problems. i was told it ran fine and driven daily until stored. so wish me luck guys, i sure need it.
  4. found this beauty for sale in magnolia texas, it is not mine but i talked to the owner today and asked if they wanted me to post here, along with some pics. has about 100,000 miles and asking 3500 firm. id buy it if i could. the owner is bonnie and her email is: bonniej3@prodigy.net for reference, im beau, i have an 89 tc- black, and i live in spring texas. mine is still in the process of being repaired to running condition by me, on a low budget. beauknowz@yahoo.com so on with the pics........
  5. wow, thats great!! i will email me friend in newton and see if he is interested in picking up for me. if so, i will get more info from you on where to pick up. thank you
  6. thank you 89TC. i want to do that but since funding may take a bit, i have a friend who may be willing to pick up and store for me until i can pay shipping. please tell me you are near newton, new jersey. if i could make that fly, i would be a happy camper. hotsauce
  7. thanks for the welcome. yeh i heard the other day that FWD were specialists at front wheel drive chrysler stuff.!! been passing by it several times a week for years. its right down the road from where i go 4 wheelin all the time. used to think it stood for four wheel drive! wouldnt be surprised if i knew someone that worked there. ill have to drop by there soon and see whats up. quick question: i already found where the side rear glass is unique to the TC and i need to find one. i have a friend in the glass business in houston so what kind of specs should i tell them to help find me a piece? just the year/make /model? my next trip to see my TC will be dropping the gas tank to look inside and drain it. maybe wipe down the interior again and pop the hood. this will be a slow process since im on a low low budget.
  8. im interested in the soft top as a whole. when i got my TC, i was told the soft top was crapped out, so if i can get a replacement for free, thats what i want. paying for shipping is just a trade-off. plus, i too dislike seeing useful things being sent to the landfill especially if they are rare and expensive to have custom crafted. side note: i havent had time to even go to where my project TC is parked to get the hard top off and soft top open. i have noticed the switches for soft top are hanging out of their socket.
  9. hi yall, im hotsauce, just got me a project car, a 90 TC. i found an email for a guy named hemi, and sent an intro before i found this forum. im looking forward to gettin things started with her soon. shes black and shinning. seems it was waxed before being put in storage for about 6 years. 80 k miles i think. im learning as much as possible about her before i put a tool on her. im in spring texas if theres anyone in the area that has one and wants to talk TC.
