  1. the fuel rail is on top of the motor it has a valve coming through the plastic cover that says 3800 on it looks like a tire valve stem
  2. i had the same problem all i did was just push in the little valve on the fuel rail (after turning the key on a few times then back off) and a little bit of air came out then fuel and then all was fine no problems since besides the trans going
  3. thanks for the info daniel i think this may be the way to go just a few questions though how do i piggyback the ecm? and do you have pics of modified trans mount? and how much more to just install the s/c93-95 motor?
  4. does this vehicle have a solenoid? check it there. and just curious what is a 21? ohh nevermind i see 1921 chevy lol
  5. in previous post i had mentioned my tranny losing gears well i took barney's advice and checked the cable it is fine and moves through all gears so im sure my tranny has gone i was just wondering are there any trannys from newer vehicle that may be more reliable and will they bolt up?
  6. oh ok cool guess mines just a plain jane lol
  7. lol no not really is the buttons on the bottom left side of seat the floodout controls?
  8. hello just a quick ? i seen a 1990 reatta on ebay or at least it says 1990 the raidio has an eq on it and the driver seat has controls on the left bottom side were these extra options in 1990? i have a 1990 but it dosent have this stuff
  9. ok i should have put that disstilled water cannot reach the required temp to boil inside your radiator but do this one time put distilled water into a pot that is completley clean no impurities on it and try to boil disstilled water on the stove it wont happen the water will sit untill you introduce a impurity then will explode in a raging boil
  10. hey ronnie hasnt anyone ever told you when you have a small coolant leak to used distilled water because when a leak is introduced to the coolant system this allows steam buid up and intern lowers the tempature that it takes to make water boil in the system way lower hence the use of disstiled water b/c of the purity it will not boil (i think the temp to make disstilled water boil is 500+)
  11. yes i do mean that disstilled water has a much higher boiling temp than any other water and not to mention the purity of it leaves no build up in the rad so yes i do mean it
  12. bobby makes a good point to check for a bad connection because if a motor was replaced there may be a bad connection as for them installing new sensors or coil pack 90% of motor changes are made using the same external parts b/c the person doing the work assumes that the car was great till the motor went!!!
  13. just wanted to add distilled water is a perfect candidate for your radiator since distilled water is so pure it cant boil
  14. when u say "upper" im guessing you mean the part of the coil pack the wires plug into? if so these are made of a rather brittle plastic and over time the heat really does a number on it as far as testing it goes im not to sure i always go by visual inspection ie: tiny cracks and fractures and fading too if the plastic is faded a light greyish tint to it chances are the plastic is no longer a good insulator also check for the die-electric grease seeping around were the coil pack seats as for the harness chances are it is just fine mine is a little dryrot looking but still fine i guess could you unplug it and vissualy inspect for burnt brittle wire
  15. i had simmilar problem with my 1990 reatta just about all the symptoms you have upon inspection of my cars coil pack i found tiny stress cracks all around it and also were the wire harness plug into it i bought a new one replaced along with new plugs and wires event thought they were just changed(just incase) and had no problems since
