Tough as I'm both a Studebaker and Buick guy. I think I'd have to go with the Avanti for how unique it is. If you count the earlier and later models though, a '71 GS and '57 Golden Hawk would be most ideal.

Best to save it from winters, so perhaps the 56 can be a summer daily.
-
Won't see that often. Anyone know how many there were?

A V6 will drop the value, but otherwise sounds like a good car. Please just make sure it goes to a collector. This does not need to become a low rider or beater.
-
Keep it the way it is otherwise you might fall onto the slippery slope of wanting everything else redone.
I was driving a nice survivor, my old '76 El Camino Classic a couple years ago when a bum asked me at a stop light when I was going to restore it. I guess I could've said how expensive a proper restoration is and then asked for some change.

I just fantasized about a '50 with a gold grill before I opened this. I love the gold trimmed 50s Caddys.

I know a guy who claims his Willys CJ2A belong to LBJ's hunting buddy.

Of course I love the 59s, Sting Rays, etc, but Earl started things

That thing has a windsheild. I wonder how fast it goes. I guess if it goes fast and since it could be used in the case of an emergency it probably wasn't all that bad. Now security guard on a segway at the mall, that's sad.

Congrats. I haven't sold off anything I'd really want back, but I'd love to have my dad's '59 El Camino, '69 Charger, or my grandparents' neighbor's '54 Vette.

Since you said you'd consider early 50s, I'll suggest a Studebaker. Bullet nose and sedans have suicide doors. Most prefer 1950 style, but 1951 you could get a v8 and overdrive.

Never seen one before, cool

Somebody has to save it. It's not like someone is just going to stumble in their looking for parts.

I've heard of people using Coke coolers as trailers, and was wondering if anyone used a Kelvinator Coke cooler or even a refridgerator as their trailer with a Nash car? I got to thinking about this when I helped my dad move his Kelvinator Coke cooler yesterday.
-
Makes sense as Lafayette was just a "by Nash" car until '37.

A road trip in an 851 Speedster?!? That is incredibly amazing. I'd love to eventually have one.

My girlfriend watches this show and when I head it was about the garage I decided to check it out. Then I saw that the most exciting thing he had was a newer Wrangler which probably has a pampered life. What's the point of having two of the same newer Harley that he doesn't ride? He could've atleast had some Indians.

I knew someone who once lived in a Packard, but never in the Packard factory

I've been looking for the right tv and radio. Seems to be plenty of radios, but don't see old tvs ever.

Way cool, you may try asking someone with PCS for information

Great find!
Funny about pumping up the tires. What kind of extension did you have to use to pump up the tires with the bike pump?

Great story, I'd love to meet and see Jay's collection

Nice Caddy and I like the color. I also like that they liven up the amber light with the Cadillac logo in it.

Gotta love the old hood ornament/latch.

I love the Rivieras, but I prefer the Jetbacks. 1950 is one of my favorite years. I don't mind the post on the Jetback, but a lowered roof with a hardtop would be nice. Now a 4 door Jetback vs. Riviera, I think on a Buick I could go for the Jetback. Now a Chevy or Poncho, 2 doors would be the limit.
