In 1945 it was reassigned to Engine 25 as it was reportedly difficult to steer making it hard to negotiate the streets and alleys Downtown and in the West End. Do you like old fire engines? Me too! This pumper entered service on December 30, 1941. In 1945 it was reassigned to Engine 25 as it was reportedly difficult to steer making it hard to negotiate the streets and alleys Downtown and in the West End. U.S. Fire Apparatus was originally located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but moved to Wilmington, Delaware where most of their apparatus was constructed. The vast majority of fire engines constructed by U.S.F.A. were built using Autocar truck chassis.
