Antique Autos and Airplanes at Simsbury Fly-In 2007
I had the good fortune of attending the 2007 version of an evidently long-running ('07 was listed as the "22nd annual") event called the "Simsbury Fly-In" at the Simsbury Airport, in Simsbury, CT, this past September. My son and I drove our '60 VW up to participate, and had an absolutely wonderful time. It was such a unique event in that the antique car show was adjacent to an antique (& some modern/experimental) airplane show--with lots of incoming and outgoing flying action going on the entire time--talk about an exciting atmosphere. Anyway, I just completed a brief report documenting our experiences, and it's located online at:

I've seen the '08 version already listed for Sunday, September 21, 2008, with Sept. 28th listed as the rain date. My advice, based upon our having gotten a relatively leisurely start, is to try and get there early--the space available for the antique autos seems to fill up pretty rapidly. But you won't be sorry!
