Guest kzotpc
Hello, I'm new to AACA forums, I have two question if anyone can help. What is the back space for the 1948 Mercury 15" wheels, I'm am hoping to convert my 47 Ford to 15" to use modern radials. Also I'm looking for a source for the 1946 to 1948 Ford Woody rear fender stone guards. Thanks for any info this.
joe_padavano
Backspace depends on wheel width. Without knowing the width of the wheel you plan to use, a backspace number is meaningless. Offset is the measurement you really need, as this is independent of width. Typically, RWD American cars through the 1980s used wheels with zero or near-zero offset.
