CraigD
Does anyone know where I might be able to get two hardware pieces for the rear seat strap for a '29 Speedster? Thanks for suggestions, Craig
John_Mereness
Sidenote: The actual leather strap is a whole lot more complicated than what is pictured here - may still have an original for pattern (strap is same from about 1925 to 1928 tourings and ends also all be it 1928 has a hammered pattern but they are brass and that can be removed). Also, some liberty was taken via upholstery of car pictured and I have never seen an unrestored car with rear seat foot hassocks. Ash tray also is a little more recessed into seat back. Also, club may have an original "plan" to build the leather strap via a later 20's touring. CraigD
John, Thank you for the information. If anyone could send pictures of an original style strap from a Tourer of the late 20s, I'd appreciate it. And if you find the pattern for it, please let me know. I'll contact the club to see if they have plans. Thanks! Craig

John_Mereness
If memory serves there is a diagram for doing the leather work via one of the Club Publications via 1970's or so - it is one of the colr publications and picture - Diagram related to a 1927 Touring via perhaps a Harrahs restoration Edited July 19, 2017 by John_Mereness (see edit history)
