Guest 48supernewbie
Does any know how to remove all the switches (headlight, blower, instruments, etc.) for a 48 Buick support. I have consulted the manual and it says there is a set screw on the side but none of them have set screws. These are puil type switch which usually mean the in a button on the body of the switch that when depressed the knob and shaft would pull out. However none of them have a button either. Any tricks or reference sites with different infomation would be greatly appreciated.
ILIKECARS53
To remove the switches is a 2 step process. Before doing any work, please disconnect the battery. First pull the knob out..... there will be an allen wrench screw holding the knob to the stem. loosen the set screw and remove the know. then holding the actual switch to the dash is a nut. it is not a hex nut but similiar to a barrel nut. you will need a needle nose pliers to remove the nut. then the switch will push out the back of the dash. good luck
