dpcdfan
Got this with a bunch of MOPAR parts. Know it's late 30's GM but was hoping to get some help on what make and year. The inside diameter is right at 7" and the outer diameter on the inside where it mounts to the bucket is 7 3/4"
Curti
My guess is 39 Chevy , 37 & 38 look the same, but were a tad smaller.

All the pics on the net show 39 Chevy as all chrome without the small stainless ring. I don't agree. The 39 Chevy came from the factory with a painted ring and chrome bead, like the 37-38 . Customizers chrome them.Google 1939 Chevy
dpcdfan
Good catch Curt… all the pics I saw showed them with chrome rings, even cars that appeared original. Thanks for looking that up. I know several GM cars in that period used that style ring. Hopefully someone will know exactly which one based on the diameter I gave. If I can find out whether 39 Chevy takes a 7" lens then we'll be sure. Thanks again! I don't agree. The 39 Chevy came from the factory with a painted ring and chrome bead, like the 37-38 . dpcdfan
Curt… follow-up. Just checked my headlight lens sheet and it shows a 39 Chevy taking a lens with a 7 1/16" outer diameter, Tiltray # 920857. Looks like your right on!
Guest Al Brass
I seem to recall a '36 Chevy is the same as a '39. '37 and '38 were smaller as pointed out. RegardsAl
