LAS VEGAS DAVE Posted July 25, 2015 Share Posted July 25, 2015 If anyone has a stock or rebuilt radio in their 38 Buick or a similar one I would like to know if it works very well. I know its just AM and am wondering since the antenna s under the running board if it gets any stations CLEARLY. Any comments about the radio and its problems or lack of would be interesting to me. Joseph P. Indusi Posted July 28, 2015 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Look around the back or bottom of the radio for a small circular opening with the head of a screw inside it. This is the antenna trimmer adjustment to match the characteristics of the antenna to the RF input stage of the radio. Turn on the radio and find a weak station near the upper end of the frequency dial. Slowly turn this screw until the volume gets louder. Set the screw for the best volume level. This is worth a try.
