olympic
Have started working again on the 1921 9B. What is the proper lubricant to use in the speedometer? Dave
odyssey
A light machine oil. I have a bottle of speedometer oil and it looks like 3 in 1 oil.If the speedometer feels stiff, the die cast may have swelled and oiling alone may not help. Oftentimes running with a stiff speedo head will cause it to seize. It's not too hard to take it apart to free up the main shaft.Tom
olympic
Thanks, Tom The speedometer is free, no swelling of the gears or casting. But very dry inside so I figured it needs some lube. Dave
