Guest tedpa61
On Saturday, September 5, 2015, The Friends of Caledonia State Park and the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor will host a community celebration at the park along US 30 in Fayetteville, PA. The Lincoln Highway Jubilee was originally held at the park in 1921 to celebrate the completion of the Lincoln Highway across Pennsylvania. The Jubilee turned into one of the longest parade of automobiles the state has ever seen as good road enthusiasts from throughout the region drove to Caledonia State Park to celebrate the transportation freedoms available over the Lincoln Highway.Antique Car Clubs are all shapes and sizes are welcome to participate free of charge. If your organization would list to host a car show during our event, please contact me at your earliest convenience. We want to encourage all to join us along US 30 between Gettysburg and Chambersburg on September 5th. There will be food, entertainment and fun for everyone. See flyer for details. Restorer32
I have lived within 10 miles of the Lincoln Hiway all my life. When I was a kid we always referred to Rt 30 as "The Lincoln Hiway" but you seldom hear it referred to that way these days.
