lizotte Posted September 5, 2011 Share Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) I am selling this REBUILT(NOT FIRED UP YET) Chevy 1964 passenger car 409 motor it is 340 H.P. and is suffix coded QC (4-spd.) It has been recently rebuilt by machine shop.The casting #s on the block are -3844422, #s on the heads are -3830817 and intake is -3814831(1963).The heads had few valves replaced and completely rebuilt.New rings and rod and main bearings,new cam and cam bearings (340 HP cam)new timing chain and gears and lifters,new oil pump,fuel pump,water pump rebuilt by machine shop(date coded 1961)carb and distributer rebuilt.Many other new parts.I will switch intake with factory almn. intake for additional $200 I am asking $6,500 -I can crate up motor or can be picked up or delivered for an agreed price in reasonable driving distance.
