Guest trdatisola
I need to remove my gas tank . It is full of old gas deposits as it set up 9 years and was stored with gas in the tank. I have tried solvents and drained but this will take forever and still will probably still be unclean. Can anyone tell me the procedure for removing this tank. Thanks! GARY F
your service manual should give you a hint
Guest trdatisola
I have a Oakland - Pontiac shopmanual which gave no instructions, also have 5TH & 9TH editions Care and Operation of the Pontiac Six Motor Cars. Neither of those offered any hints. So I removed the rear floor panel under the rear seat which gave me easy access. I suppose I need to secure a Service manual. Thanks for your response.By the wayafter removing the tank and cleaning about a half gallon of GUNK from the tank I removed the tank unit and it was almost completly deterioated by corrosion. Anyone have a tank unit they want to sell?
