There is a similar plate that was reproduced a few years back by Bob Popyk. They are quite similar but a couple of differences that help identify them. (1) Look at the word BUICK on the original the "B" and "K" are spaced so they are above the screw cut-out.... the reproduction "B" and "K" stop at the cut-out(2) on the back look at the embossed tri-shield. On the original the 3 shields are flat on the back.... the reproduction has an embossed "slash" on each of the shields. (3) You would need both for this comparison, but the reproduction plate back is shinier than the original, which is a dull aluminum. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
