Have another issue. This car's kickdown wires were disconnected. I found the wires from the solenoid on the tranny, but can't find where the other set of wires are supposed to be connected to.

Thanks again

There should be two wires, one for the kickdown and one for the switch-pitch torque converter. Each is controlled by a solenoid valve in the trans, with ground through the trans case. Both are controlled by a switch on the throttle linkage. I know Oldsmobiles used a switch on the firewall bellcrank. I believe Buicks used a switch on the intake manifold, but Buick specialists will correct me. The switch receives +12V from a fuse that's hot with the key in the RUN position and has terminals for each of the solenoid valves. The kickdown terminal will only be powered at W.O.T. The switch pitch terminal will be powered at both W.O.T. and at idle, usually.
