1939 Dodge 218ci firing order

hey guys, i wanna double check the firing order of my car via the dist. cap. i know its 1,5,3,6,2,4 but i need to know what order that will go on the cap. would like to double and triple check that plug wires are placed correctly on cap.

Start clockwise looking down on the cap from the position for the wire to the #1 cylinder. Find that by putting the engine at TDC and look at where the distributor rotor points. If your oil pump was indexed properly and your distributor was put in properly instead of 180° out then it should be somewhere about the 7 o'clock position for #1. But it could be anywhere if the oil pump was not installed per the factory service manual.

Then just follow the sequence around wire to #1, wire to #5, etc.
