I'm in Australia and I cant find a "Useable" Universal Joint, NOS or second-hand anywhere. (Australia or the USA) its for a 1956 Special, series 40, model 41, with a synchromesh 3 speed manual. If anyone has one stashed away or an old manual Transmission from a 56 they would let me buy just for the universal joint please contact me, I am trying not to modify the car from its original state as it needs to be fully original to get registration here in South Australia. I have "Bob's Automobilia" in the States trying to locate one for me but he doesn't like my chances at all. The rest of the transmission is in pretty good shape but the Universal is flogged to death, have thought about retrofitting an updated universal but it needs the hole in the middle of the cross for accessing the retaining bolt onto the mainshaft.Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
