1953 Buick V-8 firewall mounted heater core part #3123864

Hi-my 53 Buick V-8 heater core is leaky and I would like to find a good used or NOS core to replace mine.

I have one that I was told came out of a '53. I can't find a part # on it. It just says HARRIS HC 05 57 57B Also, the nipples look inverted from the parts book illustration, so I don't know what it's for

Retired--thanks for responding but I don't think the hose connections and screw connection are in the right place for a 53 Model.

Retired-on second thought it might work on my heater core box. If you rotate your picture 90 degrees to the right the width from hose pipe to hose pipe is 10" horizontally C to center on my heater core. Might be helpful to have the overall width and height too.

I'll measure it in a little while. I had bought it for my '52 but the hose pipes are different ( the pipe on the left looking at my picture would be on top and the pipe on the right would be on the bottom

Ok, center of hosepipe to hosepipe is 9". The core is 6 1/2 " h by 10" w and the sheet metal piece screwed to it is 10 3/4" w by just under 8 1/2" h

Have you pinpointed the leak to the core and not the temperature control valve? The Rancor valve could be the culprit.
