joncoon
I am finally having a local glass shop make some windows and wanted to know if anyone knows of a source for the window Lip Channel that holds the glass and will hook on the sill. Something that can be modified would work, too. I only have one rear piece of the channel and would happily buy any used ones, too. I also need a complete left regulator and a chain and attached parts for the right side. Lip Channel picture
odyssey
There is no readily available channel. I made some for my Series 9 project years ago and can have some more made if you wish. It's not inexpensive as it requires press brake engineering, setup time and test peices to get the radius right so it fits over the lip on the sill properly. It would be cheap if we could make 100 parts...Let me know if you want me to pursue it and get some pricing - I would not be able to work on it for a couple weeks.Tom Rasmussen
joncoon
Thank you for the reply - I somehow doubt there would be demand for as many as 100 pieces. I will be in touch in a couple of weeks - I will need something to keep the windows up.
odyssey
I was jesting about the 100 pcs.... too bad we are not working on Fords! But - I did search and found ONE new piece. I made these in the late 1980's. It's steel, with the lip, nickel plated as original. Unfortunately, just one. If you want it, let me know. Maybe email me at odyrestorations@aol.com, or a PM through the forum - I can send you a photo. Tom
