MCHinson
Welcome to the AACA Discussion Forum! You simply attend any National AACA Meet and attend the judging school. Unfortunately for you, there are fewer on the West Coast than there are on the East Coast. The Calendar of upcoming opportunites is located at the following link:Calendar Of Events
Guest Hulon McCraw
To become a judge for AACA you have to be a member I assume you are but if not you can become one by contacting Hershey headquarters aaca.org 717-534-1910 they will get you signed up. If you are a member Judging Schools are taught at each national meet on Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM where you can sign up for the Apprentice team. On Saturday morning a judges breakfast is held and each judge and apprentice must attend the cost is $7.00. Once you have completed judging school and the apprentice training you will become a master judge and eligible to be assigned to a field judging team at the next national meet you attend. Judges must take a judging school and serve as a judge at a national meet once each calendar year to remain on the active judging list. AACA has an upcoming national meet in Palm Springs,CA October 25-26, 2013 this would be a great opportunity for you to begin your judging experience with us. I look forward to seeing you there
