exxel1954racing
I have a 1928 Chevrolet national that i'm restifying to a street rod. I have the plate from the cowl giving me the body and line number , however i'm missing the V.I.N. tag. Is the number stamped anywhere on the frame ? How do I go about getting a VIN for theis car? Any help would be great [color:"black"]
Guest rbl2
It never had a vin, it had a serial number. The serial number was a plate about the size of the body plate on the cowl and would have been found on the wood under the passenger side of the front seat. Alot of those old cars had the engine serial number as the serial number. Apparently that was the practice years ago. If you're missing the serial number you may need to contact your local DMV and ask their advice.
