philsthirtynine
VIN tag is missing. Trying to verify if this is a 39 or not. Rear fender side spare mount seems unusual and has/had blinker lights on top of headlights.

Dave@Moon
According to the Crestline book Dodge Trucks by Don Bunn the parking lights atop the headlights was a new feature for 1940. 1941 trucks used cowl mounted parking lights. Also the the three chrome bands atop the grille are a 1940 Plymouth feature (as per the caption in the book). There are photos of 1940 and 1941 Plymouth trucks, but not the 1939 however. If these features are original this is definately a 1940 Plymouth. Guest De Soto Frank
Didn't the headlights also move out onto the center of the fender crowns for '41, or was that just Dodge ?
