dealer installed seat covers

I am wondering about the availabilty of seat covers like those that would have been dealer installed in the 40's. My 40 Special had sail cloth covers installed new. They weren't removed until just before I bought the car. As a result, the seats are virtually flawless. I don't really want to be the one to add any significant wear to the upholstery. The old covers are worn through on the drivers side.I suppose that I could have these rebuilt but the old cloth and thread must be fatigued.
