Guest imported_Speedster
I was never a Fan of the Bathtub body style cars but the price is right if you want a long term project (needs a lot of work). It will cost at least a $1000. to have it trucked to Texas tho.

Guest Randy_G
I dont know if you could say I'm a Fan of the bathtub Packards a 48 it was the only seen one in person and the doors opened and closed better on it than on my new chevy truck. I was hooked to say the least. I doubt I would buy this car but I am looking. As for Randy Liking it, I'd say no. something about it being a turd. Clipper47
A parts cars only. If your thinking of restoring it you should get a letter of approval from your wife, your priest and your psychiatrist first.
Guest imported_Speedster
Don't let these Wimps put you off. Cars in a lot worse condition have been successfully restored. It just depends on if you can 'Handle the Challenge' and 'Enjoy a Challenge'. Cause that car will be a 'Real Challenge'. But that project is for someone with Not so much money, a Lot of time to spend and a lot of Tools. If you do get it, you should probably plan on finding another similar car and building one good one, from the two. That plan works well and saves a lot of money, if you have a place to put all the parts, since both will have to be completely disassembled to determine the best parts from each. You will have the same problem that I do, since there are Not many Packards and Packard parts here in Texas, we have to pay the high shipping cost, which is a real killer when on a tight budget. Guest Randy Berger
There are several good Packards on ebay right now. A lot depends on where you live. There is a nice 54 Pat advertised as a 53 in SoCal. A good 55 Pat and several others. It all depends on location and your budget.

Guest Randy_G
I appreciate all of your inputs on this Packard. I went driving aorund this afternoon and saw an old cadillac sitting in the weeds and a 56 Chevy Belair 4 door. I will keep looking, I am in no hurry and I want one that is local. Paying a $1000 dolars to have a project delivered to my home is not something I want to do. I really admire anyone that can buy a car off E-bay just by looking at the photos. I doubt I will ever be able to do that.Randy_G
