Pontiac59
Detroit Lubricator/Stewart carb, updraft 1-bbl.Side cover has J2B5 cast into it and what appears to be stamped S-231 but the S could also be an 8 and the 1 could also be a 7. There is a nearly identical one posted on eBay right now, but the cast and stamped numbers are not very clear - Is this a Dodge piece around 1926, or something else? I have been unable to find any listing or information with regard to identifying these carbs. The eBay link (not mine) -http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=005&item=150003560518
Guest imported_RAH
The carb appears to be somewhere around '18 or so. It is after the goose neck of '15 /'16 and has a vaccuum port in the neck but has the cast float chamber cover not stamped like the later ones. It is definately NOT '26.
