1926Roadster
Looking for an idea for repairing pitts in metal rims.I sandblasted my badley rusted wheels and rims and discoveredrust pits. They are not deep just surface pits. Does anyone know of a good way to repair them? ThanksKen GASCH
1928Commander
Ken,I have a similar problem with shallow pits in my split rims. I recently picked up a can of Lab-Metal. I figured I would fill the pits with this and then coat the entire rim with either POR-15 or Rust-Encapsulator. The vendor claims that you can also powdercoat over Lab-Metal. If anyone has any better ideas, I would be glad to hear them. (Note: This thread probably belongs in "Pre-War Studebaker")The Lab-Metal information link is:http://www.alvinproducts.com/Products/Products.asp?ID=1Don
