kerri
I came across a Packard radio while cleaning out an old shed...would appreciate any info on it (mainly what year/model was it installed in and its value) It appears to be complete (black metal? main box w/2 cables going to face)and has a round 6pin connection. The main box is marked "Packard Custom Car Radio, manufactured expressly for the Packard Motor Car Company, Detroit Michigan" Inside contains all tubes, etc. and is marked "Philco, T14 Chassis Code 121" and "Super Hetro Odyne, N87992". The face is small, approx 3"X4", has both original round knobs (not pushbutton), and is shaped like a cathedral style Philco floor radio, white/ivory dial, and a red coat of arms looking logo (not sure if Packard or Philco logo)...thanking You in advance,kerribabe_breathless@yahoo.com
Guest twinfour
Can you post a photo of the radio? Thanks.
Guest imported_Speedster
It sounds very similar to my '37 1502s radio but I looked up the numbers that are on my radio and they are completely different. So again, I would need a picture, but it is probably a late '30s type radio.
Guest imported_Speedster
Here's a picture of the dash, with radio-head in the center, in a '37 1500 Senior model. The dash and radio-head are different in the '37 Junior models. See Attachment:

Guest imported_Speedster
Here's a pic of, I think is same style radio-head, in '36 Junior 120 Dash. (altho slightly different design) Both '35 and '37 Junior series radio-heads were a much different design. So I would say it was for '36 120. So it is a very Rare radio, if it is complete and in operating condition. The value would be, how much someone needs and wants it. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> You would connect up a Speaker, 6.volt power and an antenna to test it.
