Guest mowog Posted February 8, 2006 Share Posted February 8, 2006 Hi all. Finally got my engine (248 cid) in the machine shop. Machinist says main and rod journals need grinding. He has found specs somewhere, but I'd really like to be able to confirm standard diameters. Does anybody have this info? Can't find it in the '38 shop manual (maybe I'm blind?). The Old Guy Posted February 8, 2006 Share Posted February 8, 2006 Dan, On page 177 of the 38 shop manual it gives the main bearing dimensions as fractions.
