Dosmo
I've attached a photo of a 51 Stude Bus. coupe - look at the trunk handle - it appears to be almost circular in shape - I've seen just a very few of these - did these just appear on cars with a certain trim level? most of the ones I've seen resembled something similar to an airplane fuselage with a pair of wings attached - I'm interested in things like this - I've never seen this type trunk handle addressed anywhere - can someone enlighten me? Guest DwainG
Yes, it's a trim level thing. Here's a quick scan of the '51 parts book illus.http://home.comcast.net/~jdwain/trunk.handle.jpg

mbstude
Yep, the circular one was installed on the more inexpensive models. (Unless the car was ordered with the "air plane" type) Our 51 Champion Regal Starlight coupe has the airplane inspired one. Attached is a picture of it as well as our 64 Commander Wagonaire. We have MANY more Studes around... Matthew Here's a pic: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j209/mbstude/bulletandwagon.jpg
