Guest
I have not owned my 91 for a month yet. I tried to start it today. It acted like it was flooded & ran rough. On backing out the brakes were not normal. ONly hard foot pressure would stop the car. Is this problem a computer one?? How many are on the car????
I have purchased microfische and a 91 service manual. (Still waiting for the manual from the seller).
Could anyone have any suggestions???? Thank you.
Guest Stan Leslie
It sounds like a vacuum leak. Check the large black hose going from the brake booster to the manifold. The leak would cause the engine to idle rough and also degrade the power brakes if the leak was in the brake line. The 91 unlike the 88-90 uses a conventional vacuum brake booster. Guest
Stan, YOU ARE THE Man!!!. Your diagnosis was exactly the problem. I can see that the hose bracket needs a screw to keep two hoses from backing off. The required screw is missing.
I really appreciate your help!! I owe you at least a six pack.
Thanks Again
