Guest Rob1960
My 56 Plymouth Belvedere has either a Transmission or a push button problem. The "D" button activates forward driving just fine. But push the "R" button and nothing happens. There is no apparent engagement at all. Can someone suggest the probable causes and best things to test first? Thanks, Robt
Guest aheadforkeeps
Hi Rob, have you checked your transmission fluid level? It's possible its just low on fluid. The other possibility is that you need to adjust your pusbutton cable at the transmission. If you don't have a factory service manual for your car I would suggest getting one. It will tell you exactly how to adjust that cable. Michael
