41Merc
These have been on the to-rebuild-shelf for 20+ years, time they got a new home. 81's or 97's, I'm not sure, will modify this post later to reflect that.Do know they came off a 41 Merc flathead.e-mail me for pics (unless you want them immediately --which does not happen because I hate computers, it's why I had children) and prices. Thanks....
41Merc
Not 2 but 3.2 are identical. Here are their numbers:P-19400 8A (bottom of bowl side)EE-1 8A (opposite side)On the bowls there is a list of patent #'s underneath "Stromberg, South Bend" ...doubt anyone wants those but I can post them. The 3d is a 97. "97" is stamped right onto it in a circle. Bottom, opposite bowl side says: "EE-1" and "Patent 1583 859"Likely the 2 identical carbs are 81's... but maybe not. One of them has its original red paint --same color as the heads, that awful red Mercury painted the grilles with-- so it's original off my Merc. Other is probably aftermarket. All three have all their hinges which all work. Everything tuns or moves and the butterflies open and shut. Also found 2 fuel pumps --am going to assume they match the 2 same Strombergs-- but other than an "AC" stamp on one, there are no markings. Do know these can be rebuilt --there are detailed instructions in the Merc factory service manual. These will probably go on eBay late this week if no interest. Never sold off eBay but hey.... got to feed my Merc. Thanks but forgot to add to please e-mail me for pictures and prices.
