recently got my 35 dodge running only to find antifreeze coming from the bellhousing. Please tell me there is a freeze plug back there somewhere. I am really hoping I dont have a cracked block

The good news is there is a freeze plug in the back of the block, the bad news is, to the best of my experience, impossible to remove, clean the seat and give the new one the necessary smack to finish the job, without removing the engine. You need to locate the exact position of the leak before you proceed. Use white paper towels and follow the green trail. Place a towel over the top of the housing as close to the block as possible and see if the anti freeze appears. Small mirrors on a stick also help. Keep wiping the surface clean. There is also a freeze plug at the rear of the head but it is easy to see and repair if your problem is there. You may also have leak at the head gasget. Be thorough in your investigation. It is imperative to locate the leak before you do anything drastic.
