Guest Posted June 25, 2002 Share Posted June 25, 2002 hello just picked up a 36 straight 8 when the motor runs for a while i see smoke from the exhaust it puffs then when you step on the gas it smokes more tryed mystery oil but still smokes.could it be the guides or rings?i will send the head out for work if i have to,but if i have to replace rings i am in trouble i hear you can't get rings for a sp40.also what can be done to give this 8 more power thanks frankjr Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
