Guest Murray Brown
I have purchased a 1948 Pontiac built in CANADA. This means that it is, in reality, a 1948 Chevrolet with some Pontiac badging. The vehicle is in reasonably decent shape, but the object of the exercise is to create a mini-dollar Street Rod. If you can bear with me over the next number of months, I will pose some .... err .... interesting questions.Today's question: Has anybody found replacement brake shoes that are compatible with another YEAR of Chevrolet so that one can purchase shoes from a local auto parts outlet such as NAPA, Auto Zone, etc? Aanderson44
A good brake shop or parts store such as NAPA might very well have an exchange manual--I know they did when I rebuilt the brakes on my '58 Sedan Delivery and '59 Biscayne.Art
