Stock '42 wheels

Were the stock wheels on a '42 Special 16 x 6's or 16 x 5's? I need a set of 16 x 5's for our '41 Special and have located a set of '42 wheels but the owner thinks they are 16 x 6's. He says they are the original wheels. The tires that are on them are 6.50-16's. Thanks for any help.

You might ask the man how he measures wheels. I have talked to people that measure the rim from outside to outside. This would make a 5 in wheel a 6. The only 16X6 wheels I can recall were on the 80-90 series.
