Top off in Michigan

Had a nice sunny day today and finally took the hard top off! My son and I were out for a drive and we had our first driver yell, ?What kind of car is that. Looks great!? My son was driving and I could see a bit of a smile form on his face. He?s sixteen and this was his first time driving a convertible. So, I?ve had this car since February and got the new replacement hood lifts from Sachs, replaced the mast for the antenna and put the headlight protectors on. Now, if I could just find the time to pull the console so I could look at fixing the passenger seat. Its in recline and the switches aren?t working. So far it?s been fun and I look to a great summer. If the switch is not working for the seat, first make sure the connector is fully 'seated' to

the switch assembly. If still not working, make sure that there is no 'old coffee residue' or

other syrupy substance prevented electrical contact. Contact cleaner works for that, carefull,

some of it melts plastic. Finally the last option is switch replacement (assuming we have power

to the switch right?). Lots of power seat optioned FWD Chrysler's had the same switch, though

it will be a single row instead of the TC's double row, you can use two sets from the donor car.

Try Lebarons and Daytona's, plenty of them had the power seat option.

Laughlin is a bit far for you easterners for the nationals, but the Shelby Dodge nationals are

in Wisconson in June, you could check that out. Lots of the SD community members also own a

TC or two and there are usually a few TC's floating around at the SDAC Nationals.
