Guest
Hi,
You didn't mention what model '61 Skylark you have acquired, or what type of parts you are seeking.
I own a '62 Convertible, which I've been working on for about 11 years now.
Let me know what you're looking for and I'll be more than happy to steer you in the right direction(s).
Best,
Bob Leets
Guest
It is a Buick Special Skylark 2D HT. What I am really looking for is a steering wheel.
Guest
You need to join the Compact Buick Club, which is just for owners of 1961-63 Skylarks and Specials. They have a quarterly newsletter which has lots of parts ads and maintenance hints (although I haven't seen an issue for a while). Bruce Andren is the president of it, and he can be contacted at compactbc@iols.net.
These are great little cars, with just a couple of weak points (leaky windshields and the u-joints, to name a couple). The Skylark is a great performer with its 4-bbl. carburetor, and I used to get 19-24 miles per gallon when I had mine.
Pete Phillips
Ector, Texas
BCA #7338
Compact Buick Club #104-C
