BUICK: 1939 formal touring sedan, Model 81F (body #49). 4-door, extremely rare (1 of 3 known to exist in the US) and collectible, with divider window, suicide doors, twin sidemount spares. Special order aubergine exterior (paint #530) in beautiful condition, flawlessly restored dove grey Bedford cord interior (trim #719). Chrome and glass are sensational, wide whitewall tires and wheels/hubcaps are also flawless. The formal touring sedan was an extremely limited production model, only 340 units were built with 40 exported and only three are known to exist in the US today. This automobile has spent its entire life on the central coast of CA. As a unique pre-war vehicle, this car was chauffeur-driven and second only to Cadillac limousines in reputation, a complete restoration of this car was performed by the previous owner (current owner is 4th). The original 141 hp 302 ci Dynaflash engine and transmission were completely rebuilt and have less than 3,000 miles. This car was originally delivered to the Hollister Garage in Hollister, CA and includes its original license plates and sales slip. Runs beautifully, $33,000 obo. PH: 415-994-5061, CA; or: coopspeed@hotmail.com. Digital pictures available for interested parties. Car is located in Hollister, CA.
