Dave@Moon Posted January 4, 2004 Share Posted January 4, 2004 I'm not sure about the dates written on that box. You should find someone with a Chevy parts catalog to look that number up. Chevy went from 6 to 12 volts in 1955 (except for a few incredibly rare 6 cylinder Vettes). I'd be very suprised if the control unit didn't have to be modified for the voltage change.
