1898 Pope Columbia image on CT plates

Hello,
Steve Mierz from Connecticut here--AACA & ALPCA member. I have an interest in Connecticut "Early American" (antique) registration tags, and a page documenting what I know about them: http://members.aol.com/saacregion/platespage.html
I was told that the model of horseless carriage that's used as the graphic on the CT EA plates was an 1898 Pope Columbia, and was was apparently adapted from an actual photo that appears in a book: "The Oldtime Automobile" by John Bentley, published in 1951 by Fawcett Books (#134). The picture reportedly appears on page 132 and reportedly the passenger is the vehicle designer, Hiram P. Maxim.
My question is, does anyone have a copy of the book, and if so, might you be willing to send me a good photo or photocopy of the picture? My interest is only to further document the history of the Connecticut EA plates.
Thank you very much
Steve Mierz
Stony Creek, CT
Thanks to Mr. John S MacKiernan, who read my request here, and then went out of his way to make copies of the image from his copy of the Bentley book showing the photo I had inquired about. I have since been able to post the book picture & the CT "EA" plate image side by side on the above-referenced web site page, where it can be clearly seen that the plate image was derived from the historical Pope-Columbia photo.
Thanks Mr. MacKiernan once again for all your help!
Steve Mierz
Stony Creek, CT
