6219_Rules Posted December 28, 2003 Share Posted December 28, 2003 Hi Marv,I have put two rebuilt water pumps into my 1947 Cadillac and both seem to seep from the shaft just a bit. I am careful to lubricate the water pump per the manual every 1000 miles but I am seeing a little standing water in the catch under the piston behind the pulley. Is this normal or should I be looking for another unit?Do you carry water pumps for the '47 flathead 347cid V-8?Thank you! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
