Guest
What is the best method for stripping these air cleaners? They appear to be made from fiberglass, is this correct? What is best for preppinf for paint to remove stripper residue? Any help would be appreciated.
palbuick
I have restored a couple of these air cleaners. I glassbeaded it, light preassure.
You must remove all lettering and emblem before attempting this. A good primer coat, and finish with 1965/66 Buick Flame Red paint. The body is fiberglass so repairs are fairly easy. The top round tri shield emblem
is the same as the inside door emblem from specials 1963-64-?
Good luck
Jim Schilf palbuick@aol.com
